The post What These 6 Showit Creators Did to Boost Website Conversions appeared first on Showit.]]>

Your website can be one of the hardest working things in your business when it’s built with strategy in mind.

Maybe your goal is to book more discovery calls, get people to sign up for your newsletter, or encourage them to download a free resource. Whatever the action is, the way your site is set up plays a huge role in whether that action happens.

Conversions on your website come from thoughtful design, well-placed content, and small optimizations that guide visitors toward saying “yes”. To show you what that looks like in action, we rounded up 6 Showit users who are doing this well. Here’s a closer look at what they’re doing and how you can use these same strategies to make your website work harder.

1. Mike Pacchione | Book a Call

Mike Pacchione is a communication coach who helps people deliver presentations that actually stick.

His site is packed with helpful resources but the main action he wants visitors to take is to book a call. and when people do, great! But what about visitors who may be interested, but are about to leave? That’s where Mike got strategic.

He used BDOW! to set up an exit-intent popup to make sure people get one last prompt to book a call before they leave.

And it's working!

Mike’s form is converting 14% of these would-be-leavers into leads. That’s 14% more people he’s now able to help through his coaching. Sometimes, all it takes is the right nudge at the right time.

2. Amy & Jordan Demos | Event Signups

Amy & Jordan are well-known photography educators with courses for everyone, from fresh beginners to seasoned pros looking to level up.

One of their key goals is to drive signups for their courses and events. When someone lands on their site, they want that person to feel confident, excited, and ready to take the next step. But trust takes time, especially with first-time visitors.

So Amy & Jordan used BDOW! to add real-time social proof popups across their site.

These subtle messages show what others are doing in the moment, like registering for an event or downloading a resource. It’s a small touch that makes a big impact.

By showing live engagement, they’re creating momentum and building trust, making it easier for new visitors to say, “Yeah, I want that too.”

3. Elizabeth McCravy | Download Lead Magnet

Showit Users BDOW! Features: Targeted and Personalized Pop-Up Example

Elizabeth McCravy helps creative entrepreneurs (especially designers) grow businesses with personality and purpose.

Her goal? Grow her email list with a lead magnet tailored specifically for her designer audience. But instead of showing a generic opt-in to everyone, Elizabeth got intentional.

She used BDOW! to create a personalized popup that only appears to visitors reading blog posts meant for designers.

That way, the lead magnet feels timely, relevant, and custom-fit to the person seeing it. No extra noise, just a helpful, well-placed offer for the right audience. That kind of smart targeting leads to stronger connections and more qualified leads.

4. Penguin Designing | Downloading Digital Resources

Showit Users BDOW! Features: Real-Time Social Proof Popups Example

Penguin Designing helps businesses align their visuals, voice, and strategy to create brands that are built to convert.

Their goal is to encourage visitors to download digital resources and take that first step toward improving their brand. But even the most valuable offer can be overlooked without the right signals.

To build trust and spotlight engagement, Penguin Designing used BDOW! to add real-time social proof popups to their site.

Now, as people browse, they’ll see subtle messages showing that others are actively engaging: These real-time popups build credibility and create a ripple effect of confidence, encouraging more people to take action.

5. Joanna Moss | Always Show an Offer

Joanna Moss helps overwhelmed entrepreneurs go from “still figuring it out” to “site is live” with her streamlined Showit website design process.

She wants to get potential clients to fill out her contact form and inquire about working together on a new website. That’s why she used BDOW! to add a subtle on-page tab promoting a free month of Showit.

It’s always visible but never intrusive, offering curious visitors a low-risk way to try the platform she designs on. By encouraging people to explore Showit for themselves, Joanna is warming up her leads and making it easier to say yes when it’s time to talk design. It’s a smart, service-minded way to build trust and her client pipeline.

6. Christina Laing | Website Template Sales

Christina Laing is the creative behind The Buffalo Collective, where she designs luxury Showit website templates that help wedding photographers elevate their brand and book high-end clients. She wants to encourage more visitors to purchase her Showit templates, especially during limited-time sales and seasonal promos.

But coordinating popups manually during a launch or holiday campaign can be time-consuming and easy to forget. So she used BDOW! to schedule her promo popups in advance.

Whether it’s a Black Friday sale or an early-bird discount, she can set the popup’s start and end dates ahead of time. No last-minute scrambling and no missed opportunities. Just timely, automated popups that spotlight her offer and drive more conversions when folks are ready to act.

Your Website Can Convert Like This, Too

After seeing how these six Showit creators made small but effective changes to boost conversions, you might be wondering what’s possible for your site.

The good news is you don’t need to reinvent your entire site to see better results. Like these creators, a few smart tweaks can go a long way.

That’s exactly why we’re excited about BDOW!, a tool designed to help creators grow their email lists, highlight offers, and connect with site visitors through smart, on-brand popups.

And in case you missed it, BDOW! isn’t just a random tool we’re recommending, it’s part of the Showit product family. That means it’s built to work seamlessly with your Showit site. You’ll find it in your Site Settings under Third Party tools, and setup takes just a few clicks.

Create your free BDOW! account today and see how a few simple changes can help your site convert more consistently.

When it comes to attracting clients, many creative service providers lean heavily on their portfolio, and it’s true that your work should speak for itself.

But here’s the reality: while your work is the foundation of any successful creative business, in today’s crowded marketplace, it often isn’t enough to stand out on its own.

That’s where blogging comes in.

Blogging is a marketing superpower that too many service-based creatives, like photographers, coaches, wellness professionals, event planners, and consultants, either skip or don’t fully use to their advantage. It’s more than just a place to share your thoughts. It’s a way to consistently show up, connect with your audience, and highlight what makes you unique.

With a strategic blog, you can attract your ideal clients, establish your expertise, and build a steady flow of leads, all with a bit of writing and the click of the publish button.

If you’ve been putting off starting a blog or you’re struggling to keep it consistent, you’re in the right place. This post will show you how blogging can transform your service-based creative business and give you practical steps to get started today.

The Power of a Blog Post

Unlike social media posts that quickly disappear into the abyss of endless scrolling, blog posts continue working for your business long after you hit publish.

These are the 6 ways blogging impacts your brand’s success the most 👇

Drives Traffic Long After Publication

Social media posts have a lifespan measured in hours (or minutes!), but blog posts can continue driving traffic to your website for years.

Some of our most successful Showit users report that blog posts written 3-5 years ago still bring in a significant portion of their website traffic and leads.

This “evergreen” traffic happens because a well-optimized blog post addressing timeless questions in your industry becomes a permanent asset.

Once published, it continues working for you 24/7, introducing new potential clients to your business without requiring additional time or effort from you.

For creative service providers who already juggle client work, admin tasks, and marketing efforts, this efficiency is invaluable. Your blog becomes an always-on marketing employee who never takes vacations or asks for raises.

Improves Search Visibility

When potential clients are looking for the creative services you offer, where do they start?

For most, the journey begins with a Google search. Without content that specifically targets what they're searching for, your business might as well be invisible.

Each blog post creates a new opportunity for your website to appear in search results. More importantly, it allows you to target specific keyphrases your ideal clients are using.

A photographer might create content around “what to wear for family photos,” while a web designer could target “how to choose the right website platform for your business.”

By answering these specific questions through blog content, you position your website as the answer to what your potential clients are actively seeking. This dramatically increases your chances of being discovered by precisely the type of clients you want to work with.

Positions You as an Expert

In creative industries where personal brand and perceived expertise significantly influence hiring decisions, blogging provides an unmatched opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge.

When potential clients read your insightful content about industry trends, creative processes, or client education, they naturally begin to view you as an authority in your field. This perception of expertise makes price less of a deciding factor when they're considering hiring you.

Think about it: if you're choosing between two similar service providers and one has published dozens of helpful articles showcasing their deep knowledge, while the other has only a portfolio, who would you trust more? Which one seems more invested in their craft and client education?

Blogging allows you to show (not just tell) potential clients that you're not just technically skilled but also knowledgeable about the broader context of your work. This establishes you as a premium provider worth investing in.

Prepares Your Site for AI-Driven Search Results

As search engines evolve to incorporate more AI technology (like Google's continuous advancements), content depth and expertise are becoming increasingly important ranking factors.

Search algorithms are getting better at identifying truly valuable content that comprehensively addresses user queries.

Websites with robust content libraries covering various aspects of their industry are being rewarded with better visibility.

By consistently publishing high-quality blog posts, you're not just optimizing for today's search landscape but also positioning your site for future search evolutions.

Having substantial content on your site gives these AI systems more context about your business, services, and expertise, making it easier for them to match your content with relevant searches.

Provides Content You Can Repurpose

One of the smartest aspects of blogging is that it creates a content foundation you can repurpose across multiple channels. A single well-written blog post can be transformed into:

 • Multiple social media posts
 • Newsletter content
 • Podcast episodes
 • Video scripts
 • Infographics
 • Presentation material
 • Guest post content for other websites

This “create once, publish everywhere” approach drastically reduces the time and energy required to maintain a consistent marketing presence. Instead of constantly creating new content for each platform, you can focus on producing quality blog posts and then adapting them to different formats.

For busy creative service providers, this efficiency is game-changing. You're no longer starting from scratch for each marketing channel but instead maximizing the return on your content investment.

Educates Potential Clients

Educated clients are better clients. When potential customers understand your process, appreciate the value you provide, and have realistic expectations, projects run more smoothly for everyone involved.

Blogging allows you to proactively address common questions, concerns, and misconceptions before a prospect even reaches out. For example:

 • A wedding photographer can explain their unique approach to capturing authentic moments
 • A graphic designer can outline what information they need from clients for a successful branding project
 • A copywriter can clarify their process and set expectations for revisions and timelines

This pre-education not only improves the client experience but also serves as a natural qualification tool. Prospects who resonate with your approach and understand your value are more likely to be ideal clients, while those looking for something different will self-select out of your inquiry process.

Each Blog Post Should Encourage the Reader to Take an Action

While providing valuable information is essential, every blog post should also guide readers toward a specific next step. Without this direction, even the most engaged readers might simply consume your content and leave without a trace.

The key is making your call-to-action (CTA) relevant to both the content and where the reader might be in their decision-making journey. Here are the primary actions to consider:

Book a Meeting

For readers who show signs of being ready to hire, a direct invitation to book a consultation or discovery call is appropriate. This CTA works best in posts that address bottom-of-funnel topics like:

 • How to prepare for your session/project
 • What to expect when working with you
 • Investment guides or pricing explanations
 • Client success stories or case studies

Make the booking process as frictionless as possible. Ideally, link directly to a scheduling tool that shows your availability and allows immediate booking without requiring back-and-forth emails.

Keep in mind that this is your most direct CTA and should be used selectively with content that indicates high purchase intent. Using it too broadly can feel pushy and may not convert as effectively.

Download a Free Resource (Lead Magnet)

For readers who aren't quite ready to book but are showing interest in your service area, offering a valuable free resource in exchange for their email address is the perfect next step.

This approach works exceptionally well for informational content where readers might need more detailed guidance. Some effective lead magnet pairings include:

 • Blog post: “10 Common Branding Mistakes” Lead magnet: “Brand Audit Checklist”
 • Blog post: “How to Prepare for Your Family Photo Session” Lead magnet: “Family Photo Session Outfit Guide”
 • Blog post: “Understanding Website Analytics” Lead magnet: “Website Performance Tracker Template”

The key is ensuring your lead magnet directly extends the value of the blog post, providing a natural next step for readers who found your content helpful.

If you want a more in-depth guide to creating a lead magnet, check out this post.

Sign Up for a Newsletter/Email List

For readers who enjoy your content but aren't ready for either a consultation or a specific lead magnet, offering newsletter subscription is a lower-commitment option that still allows you to continue the relationship.

This CTA works well for more general or inspirational content that might attract readers earlier in their decision-making process. When offering newsletter signup, clearly communicate the value subscribers will receive:

 • Exclusive content not published elsewhere
 • Early access to limited availability offerings
 • Regular tips and insights in your field
 • Behind-the-scenes looks at your creative process

Be specific about frequency as well—whether they can expect weekly insights, monthly deep-dives, or occasional updates when you have something valuable to share.

Turning Blogging Into a Business Transformation Tool

Consistent, strategic blogging isn't just about getting more website visitors—it's about fundamentally transforming how your creative service business operates. When implemented effectively, blogging can:

 • Reduce your client acquisition costs by attracting pre-qualified leads
 • Increase your perceived value, allowing you to raise your rates
 • Create passive income opportunities through affiliate links or product recommendations
 • Position you for speaking engagements, podcast features, and other visibility opportunities
 • Build a community around your expertise beyond just your client work
 • Establish the foundation for future products or courses

The key is consistency and strategic alignment with your business goals. Rather than treating blogging as an afterthought or something you do only when inspiration strikes, approach it as a core business development activity.

Start with just one post per month that thoroughly addresses a question your ideal clients frequently ask. Focus on quality rather than quantity, ensuring each post provides genuine value and includes a clear next step for readers. Over time, you can increase your publishing frequency as you see results.

Remember that transforming your business through blogging doesn't happen overnight—it's a cumulative effect that builds with each valuable piece of content you create.

The creative service providers who see the most dramatic results are those who commit to the process and maintain consistency over time.

Your creative expertise deserves to be seen by the right people.

Strategic blogging helps ensure that happens, transforming not just your website traffic but your entire business in the process.

The post Figma Sites. Vs Showit: What You Need to Know! appeared first on Showit.]]>

Well folks let's talk Figma Sites. Vs Showit.

So, they did it.

Figma officially dropped Figma Sites—their response to tools like Canva Sites and Webflow.

These days, it feels like more companies are launching website builders than people are snapping latte art photos for Instagram.

Today, we want to share our thoughts on these 2 platforms, Figma Sites and Showit, to help you decide which tool will best support your creativity and let your voice shine online.

Spoiler alert: these are both great tools but they are built for 2 different types of people.

So, let's get to what you came here for.

Showit. Vs Figma Sites: Design Flexibility & Creative Control

Figma Sites. Vs Showit: woman working on a laptop.

When it comes to creative freedom, both Showit and Figma Sites offer powerful tools, but they approach flexibility differently.

Showit

Showit gives you true drag-and-drop control.

Want to place a text box halfway off the edge of an image? Go for it.

Want overlapping elements, floating buttons, or asymmetrical layouts? It’s all possible, no grids and no code.

If you can think it, you can design it.

This kind of visual freedom is why so many photographers, designers, and creative entrepreneurs love Showit.

It’s built for people who think in visuals, those who will know what they like when they see it, and who want the power of code without actually needing to write any.

Figma Sites

Figma Sites builds on Figma’s design canvas, offering precision-level layout control with responsive behavior built in through breakpoints and component variants.

You can design at the pixel level, then assign variant properties like “Desktop” or “Mobile” to automatically swap layouts across screen sizes removing the need to manually adjust each version.

If you’re already fluent in Figma, you’ll feel at home.

Figma sites encourage structure through frames, stacks, auto layout, and reusable components, all of which align closely with modern design system workflows.

This makes Figma Sites incredibly powerful for system-driven design and brand consistency, especially for teams managing shared libraries.

That said, the experience can feel more rigid compared to Showit’s freeform, drag-anywhere canvas.

Designers looking for total visual spontaneity may find Figma’s layout rules too structured, but for those building scalable, responsive designs with precision, Figma Sites will be a great fit for you.

Showit. Vs Figma Sites: Ease of Use & Learning Curve

Figma Sites. Vs Showit: woman working on a laptop building a Showit website.

It doesn’t really matter how powerful a platform is if you can’t figure out how to use it.

That’s where these two tools take very different paths.

Showit

Showit was built from the ground up for people who aren’t super tech-savvy.

You don’t need to know how to code, design like a pro, or understand the difference between a div and a container, (although people who do use Showit too).

You can just open a template or start fresh, then drag, drop, type, and tweak parts of the pages until you are happy.

Adding media like photos, videos, and fonts is intuitive.

Plus, there are tons of resources out there to help simplify anything that feels confusing.

The interface is intuitive, the learning curve is minimal, and there’s a wealth of tutorials, onboarding guides, and support pros that are actually helpful.

If you can use Canva or PowerPoint, you can build a Showit site.

Figma Sites

Figma Sites assumes you have a higher level of design fluency.

If you’re already comfortable in Figma, you’ll transition smoothly.

But for newcomers, the environment can feel overwhelming fast.

Terms like auto layout, component variants, breakpoints, and interaction triggers come up often.

These tools are incredibly powerful, but they come with a learning curve that rewards prior experience.

And while Figma offers documentation and community forums, there’s no hand-holding onboarding experience.

Figma Sites isn’t built to guide you, it’s built to empower designers who already know the ropes.

If that's you, then give Figma Sites a try.

Templates & Pre-Built Elements

Figma Sites. Vs Showit: website template examples.

At first glance, Showit and Figma Sites both promise the same thing, a way to design and launch beautiful websites without writing code.

But once you dig in, it’s clear they’re built with different users and different workflows in mind.

In this case, these tools both have their advantages.

We’re not trying to crown a winner.

Instead, we’re digging into the strengths, quirks, and ideal use cases of each platform.

Showit

Showit is the best choice for creatives who want to express themselves visually without the tech overhead.

While pro-level designers do use Showit, they aren't the only ones who can.

Showit was first made for photographers and later adapted for non-designers and non-developers to still build a stunning website.

With Showit, you're never forced into grids, columns, or templates you can’t tweak.

It’s a true blank canvas that allows for complete creative freedom.

BUT, remember Showit does have a large catalog of pre-built templates you can work from too.

Figma Sites

Figma Sites offers a flexible starting point through its Insert menu, which gives you access to responsive layout blocks, prebuilt elements like maps and embeds, and your team’s design libraries.

These tools are clean, modern, and unsurprisingly very “Figma.”

Instead of fully designed templates out of the box, you’re working with modular building blocks that you can assemble into custom layouts.

Figma has also launched a template marketplace, which provides professionally designed site starters for inspiration or quicker setup.

But even these are more like frameworks than polished branded templates.

The experience is ideal for designers who want to customize every detail and build from scratch.

But, unlike Showit’s visually curated, personality-packed templates, Figma’s approach is more utilitarian and system-first.

It’s powerful but better suited to those who enjoy piecing together the design puzzle.

Content Management & Blogging

If you plan to publish blog posts, update content regularly, or grow your site through SEO, how your website builder handles content management matters—like a LOT.

Showit

Showit integrates seamlessly with WordPress, the most powerful and widely used content management system on the planet (for now).

That means you get all the design freedom of Showit—drag-and-drop layouts, full creative control, no code needed, and the content publishing power of WordPress under the hood.

It’s the best of both worlds: you can build a site that looks exactly how you want and still access familiar WordPress tools for writing, scheduling, and SEO optimization.

Whether you’re a seasoned blogger or just want to add a content strategy to your brand, Showit makes it simple to manage everything behind the scenes while keeping the front end clean.

Figma Sites

Figma Sites, on the other hand, currently does not offer a built-in content management system.

Figma has announced plans to roll out a CMS in the near future, but as of now, content editing and blogging features are limited.

If your goal is to launch a blog or publish frequent updates, you may find yourself constrained or needing to stitch together additional tools to fill the gap.

That said, you technically can blog with it.

Your content will just be typed on a webpage and published rather than in a content editor the way WordPress is set up.

AI & Automation Capabilities

We have to admit, this is where Figma does great.

If AI capabilities built in are a nonnegotiable for you, Figma is the choice for you.

Showit

Showit does not offer AI-driven features currently.

But its drag-and-drop interface is designed to be approachable, giving non-technical users the ability to animate elements visually with no code or AI prompts required.

You can control image fades, hover effects, and simple interactions right in the builder, which is often more than enough for creators who want motion without complexity.

Now, you can use tools like ChatGPT to help you with writing custom code and there are also some great code libraries to help you bring your site to life, but that being said, there is no AI prompting as of yet.

Figma Sites

Figma Sites however introduces a bold new direction with its AI-generated interactions.

It allows designers to describe effects in plain language like “make this text bounce in” or “fade in as you scroll”—and have Figma generate the interaction logic automatically.

This makes it much easier to create animations and transitions without manually wiring up triggers or keyframes.

But it doesn’t stop there.

Figma also announced code layers, which let developers embed React components directly into Figma Sites.

This bridges the gap between visual design and custom functionality, giving teams the flexibility to enhance their sites with interactive features, dynamic data, or third-party integrations.

While not everyone will need this level of control, it opens up a powerful extension path for hybrid design/dev teams.

Integration & Ecosystem

A great website builder doesn’t exist in a vacuum, it needs to connect with the other tools you use to run your business.

This is where the ecosystems around Showit and Figma Sites start to diverge.

Showit

Showit was built with creative entrepreneurs and small business owners in mind, which is why it plays nicely with many popular tools.

You can easily integrate Flodesk for email marketing, embed Shopify Lite for selling products, and connect to WooCommerce if you're working with WordPress for e-commerce.

Need an Instagram feed, a lead capture form, or a podcast player?

Most embed codes drop in seamlessly.

Showit’s flexibility in this area means you can keep using the platforms you already love without needing a developer to make it all work.

Figma Sites

Figma Sites is deeply integrated with the Figma design ecosystem, making it a natural fit for teams already using Figma for product design, brand systems, and collaborative workflows.

You can pull in components, styles, variables, and design libraries directly from your existing Figma files, ensuring visual consistency and reducing duplicated work.

The Insert menu gives quick access to prebuilt layout blocks and shared libraries, streamlining team collaboration and scaling brand design across multiple pages.

And with the addition of code layers, developers can embed React components into Figma Sites, unlocking the potential for more dynamic functionality and external integrations.

That said, Figma Sites is not yet optimized for plug-and-play business tools like email marketing services, CRMs, or e-commerce platforms.

While technically extendable via code, it lacks native integrations with common business apps—meaning features like lead capture, payments, or product embeds may require custom solutions or future platform updat

Support & Community

Figma Sites. Vs Showit: man working on a laptop.

When you’re building a website, especially if you’re not a developer, having help available when you need it can make all the difference.

Showit

Showit has built a strong reputation for its human-centered support.

Whether you need help customizing a template, troubleshooting a blog integration, or just figuring out where to start, Showit’s support team is known for being friendly, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping users succeed, (they also have some impressive giff game in their chats).

Beyond that, the Showit community is vibrant and active, with a dedicated Facebook group where users regularly share tips, feedback, and design inspiration.

You’ll also find an impressive library of video tutorials, help docs, and step-by-step guides to walk you through just about anything.

Figma Sites

Figma Sites, being a brand-new offering, is still building out its support infrastructure.

Right now, it benefits from Figma’s existing knowledge base and massive design community, but the level of platform-specific support for Sites is limited compared to more mature tools.

Designers can find help through Figma’s forums and tutorials, and the broader Figma Slack and community groups are helpful for general design questions—but don’t expect one-on-one onboarding or niche business-use-case advice just yet.

As the product matures, this may change, but for now, power users may need to rely more on self-guided discovery and peer-driven forums.

Pricing & Plans

Whether you’re launching a passion project or scaling a business, cost matters—especially when comparing tools that offer different levels of support, hosting, and features.

Showit

Showit offers straightforward, transparent pricing with a 14-day free trial to get started.

Plans start at around $19/month for a basic site and go up depending on whether you want to add a WordPress blog, custom domain, or advanced features like blog migration or multiple websites.

What's nice is that everything is bundled, design tools, hosting, support, and blog integration so you’re not juggling extra platforms or hidden fees.

For creatives and small businesses, Showit’s pricing reflects the value of an all-in-one, ready-to-launch platform with hands-on help baked in.

Figma Sites

Figma Sites, on the other hand, is currently in beta and only available to users who already have a Figma Organization account or full-seat access.

That means pricing is tied to Figma’s enterprise and pro-tier offerings for now, which are typically geared toward teams and design professionals rather than solo users or small business owners.

While Figma hasn’t shared clear pricing for Sites specifically, it’s likely to follow a tiered or usage-based model once fully launched.

Showit. Vs Figma Sites: Which One Is Better?

When you’re building a website, especially if you’re not a developer, having a platform that you can vibe with will make all the difference.

So Figma Sites. Vs Showit which one should you use?

If you already use Figma, value AI capabilities, and aren't too concerned with blogging, Figma may win it for you.

But, if you are someone who wants to design a website that tells your story, has a human touch, and publish blog content consistently all without extensive design knowledge, Showit will give you exactly what you want and it's totally worth trying out.

And, one of the main benefits of Showit is you can try it free for 14 days to see what you think.

Favorite Music for Creativity & Motivation

 • Droeloe (Music Artist)“It is music with elements of future bass, chillwave, and experimental electronic music. It has great atmosphere and sound design is fantastic. I suggest listening with good head phones with bass or good speakers.”- Abraham, Support
 • Chance Peña“Such viby music to listen to while working.”- Jefferson, Marketing
 • Mystical Magical by Benson Boone“Okay, while building my updated workout playlist, I came across Benson Boone's music. It's fun, catchy, and there are a couple of his songs on my playlist. But his most recent release, I think, might be my new favorite track for a dance party at home!”- Sarah, Marketing

Must-Read Books That Shift Your Perspective

 • The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson “This book is a fantastic work of fiction featuring characters who fight to overcome hardship in a war-torn land. The writing is engaging and intense, and the characters are dynamic and grow with the story.”- Nicholas, Support
 • Reset: How to Change What's Not Working by Dan Heath “It just has great insights on easy opportunities to look for areas of change. Not huge heavy lifts, small doable tweaks.”- Jeff, Support
 • The Slight Edge, by Jeff Olson– “Atomic Habits before Atomic Habits.”- James, Marketing
 • Helsreach by Aaron Dembski-Bowden“Chaplain Grimaldus of the Black Templars is dispatched to Armageddon with his battle brothers to defend the planet against an Ork invasion in one of the foundational pieces of Warhammer 40,000 lore.”- Adam, Product

Favorite Podcasts

 • Unsupervised Learning “Fantastic cyber security podcast for news and insights”.- Keegan, Product

 • Solo leveling (anime) – “It has a lot of action and season 1 and 2 have been great!”- Abraham, Support
 • Night Agent- “This show has good action while being interesting with a good story.”- Pedro, Admin
 • Friends- “Friends is more than just a sitcom — it’s a reflection of growing up, navigating careers, relationships, and finding your place, especially when you move far from home — just like I did. As someone who came from Egypt and built a life and career in the U.S., the show's message of chosen family, support, and laughter through life’s ups and downs really hits home. It reminds us that no matter where we are, we can build meaningful connections and keep growing together.“- Ahmed, Support
 • Mr. Bean– “Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson) was actually an electrical engineer — just like me — before he shifted to comedy. That alone is inspiring. His character shows how creativity and humor can overcome awkward situations and bring people together without needing language. It’s a reminder that even the quietest, quirkiest person can make a global impact. It’s empowering, timeless, and always brings a smile — across cultures, ages, and backgrounds.“- Ahmed, Support
 • Silo- “This Apple TV original keeps you on the edge of your seat with a plot that leaves you asking “What do you think is going to happen?!” after every episode. The show's mysterious dystopian atmosphere is both suspenseful and intense, and is full of characters you will love… and others you're not sure you can trust. It only gets better with time in season two, and season three is well on it's way.”- Nicholas, Support
 • Daredevil- “He is blind but not really and the Punisher is in it and then they elect the Kingpin mayor and he's all like “No vigilantes on my watch” but then Daredevil and Punisher are all “We are going to vigilante as much as we want to.” But the Kingpin goes “Nuh uh.” Then they go “Yeah huh.” And there are a bunch of fights.”- Adam, Product

The post How to Lead with Focus and Clarity: Key Takeaways from 3 Must-Read Leadership Books That Inspired Our CEO appeared first on Showit.]]>

1. Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking When Stakes Are High

Best for:

 • Leaders, managers, and teams navigating high-stakes discussions
 • Anyone who struggles with conflict, feedback, or emotionally charged conversations
 • People looking to improve communication in personal and professional relationships

Key Takeaways:

 • Start with Heart: Focus on what you really want from the conversation and avoid getting emotionally hijacked.
 • Master Your Stories: Understand the narratives you're telling yourself before reacting.
 • Create Safety: People only engage when they feel safe. Use tools like contrasting to restore safety.
 • State Your Path: Share your perspective clearly but respectfully, using facts first, not emotions.
 • Explore Others’ Paths: Encourage others to share their views by being curious and asking questions.
 • Move to Action: Decide how to follow up and hold people accountable, not just have a “nice” conversation.

2. The Power of the Other: The Startling Effect Other People Have on You, from the Boardroom to the Bedroom and Beyond

Best for:

 • Professionals and leaders wanting to grow personally and relationally
 • People feeling isolated or burned out and looking for deeper, healthier relationships
 • Anyone curious about how human connection drives performance and growth

While the concept of this book is common sense, this book put into words something that can easily be taken for granted, and then encourages you to address it and work to make a change. Simply put, other people in your life matter. It’s not just about a few close friends, it’s about being intentional about people in your life that are looking at areas of your life. It inspired me to get a coach to train for the IRONMAN and I experienced first hand the power of the other in the way Gabe pushed me through this year. It’s worth everyone reading just to cement in our brains that we shouldn’t try to go it alone, we need others in every area of our lives.“- Todd Watson, Showit CEO

Key Takeaways:

 • Relationships Drive Success: Your performance is limited or elevated by the quality of your key relationships.
 • Four Corners of Connection: Only one type of relationship (Corner Four – real, connected, and supportive) truly fuels success.
 • Connection Builds Resilience: Isolation, even at high levels of success, leads to emotional and mental breakdown.
 • Vulnerability Leads to Growth: Being open and accountable in the right relationships strengthens your capacity.
 • Intentional Relationships Matter: Don’t leave your circle to chance—build a supportive, growth-minded network.

3. Can I Have Your Attention?: Inspiring Better Work Habits, Focusing Your Team, and Getting Stuff Done in the Constantly Connected

#image_title

Best for:

 • Leaders and managers trying to guide teams through distraction and digital overwhelm
 • Professionals looking to reclaim productivity in a hyper-connected world
 • Organizations aiming to improve focus, reduce burnout, and encourage deep work

“I met Curt years ago when he spoke about this concept of attention and he speaks about this for huge companies across the globe. It’s a major problem in a culture that has become wired for distraction and this book gives practical steps to tune things out and become Focus Wise.” – Todd Watson

Key Takeaways:

 • Distraction Is the Default: The modern workplace is designed to scatter attention—emails, pings, meetings, and more all compete for brainpower.
 • Focus Requires Leadership: Leaders must actively create environments where focus is possible, not just encourage it.
 • Protect Mental Bandwidth: People do their best work when they can fully engage—this means fewer interruptions and clearer boundaries.
 • Culture Drives Behavior: To change habits, shift team culture—not just tools or to-do lists. Model the focus you want to see.
 • Clarity Beats Busyness: Clear expectations, priorities, and outcomes lead to less noise and more meaningful work.
 • Attention is Influence: The way you direct and model your attention directly influences how your team works and what they prioritize.

Final Thoughts:

Lead with clarity. Focus and communication are your greatest tools in a noisy world.

Connection fuels performance. Who you surround yourself with shapes what you can achieve.

Conversation drives culture. Every dialogue is a chance to build trust and direction.

Focus is intentional. In a distracted world, deep work is a choice—one leaders must model.

Small shifts, big results. Meaningful change starts with better habits, better relationships, and better conversations.

Our team has put together a list of fun Creative Curations of all the things we've really enjoyed listening, reading, and watching! Check them out!

The post How to Save Money on Your Showit Subscription with Referrals appeared first on Showit.]]>

If you’ve mentioned your Showit site to a friend (because let’s be honest, it’s hard not to), you could be earning free months on Showit—or even some extra cash—just by sending them your referral link.

Yep. Showit has a super simple and generous Referral Program that lets you help a friend and reward yourself at the same time. Here’s how it works—and why it’s honestly one of the easiest “rewards” programs I know of.

What does everyone get?

When someone signs up using your link:
✅ They get their first month of Showit FREE (so fun to gift that!)
✅ You earn a free month of Showit once they’ve been an active subscriber for 64 days

It's truly a win-win. You're helping them get started with a beautiful website, and you’re getting a little thank-you from Showit in return.

But wait… it gets better.

You can earn unlimited free months. For real. There’s no cap on how many friends you can refer or how many credits you can rack up.

And once you’ve got 12 free months saved up (basically a year of free Showit 🙌), any new referrals will start earning you Affiliate Credit—which means actual cash payouts. 💵

Let me say that again:
Share a tool you already love → help a friend → get your subscription covered → and possibly earn money.

So… who can join?

If you’re already using Showit and have a paid subscription, congrats—you’re in! 🎉 No extra sign-up, no complicated forms. You just grab your referral link from your account and start sharing it with friends, clients, or anyone who’s ready to build a website they love.

A few practical things to know:

💡 What plan you’re on doesn’t matter. Your credits apply to whatever you’re currently paying (monthly or annually).

💡 Your friend can still use your link even if they’ve made a Showit account already. As long as they haven’t subscribed yet, they can log in via your link and apply the offer.

💡 Subscription Credit = applies to your billing | Affiliate Credit = cash you can redeem (Taxes aren’t included in credits, just FYI.)

You don’t need tech skills. You don’t need a pitch. Just keep doing what you’re already doing—sharing the tools that work—and let Showit reward you for it.

Ready to share the love?

If you’re already on Showit, head to your account, grab your unique referral link, and start spreading the word. You never know who’s waiting for the nudge to build their dream website.

And if you’re new to Showit and want to give it a spin—you can get your first month free just by using my referral link right here: account.showit.com 💕✨

Let’s build beautiful websites and get rewarded for it. Sounds good, right?

CultureThe Power of MomentsChip & Dan Heath

1. Small Giants by Bo Burlingham

Best for: Leaders who want to grow a purpose-driven, people-first company

I received this book as a gift years ago and really enjoyed it then, but after big transitions within my company I really came to lean on it as the path toward where I want to go. It’s so encouraging to see other companies that chose a path that didn’t just go build a company to be big and sell, but instead focused on being a great company for their community and employees. I re-read it again this year and still continue to be inspired by the stories that Bo shares in this book.” – Todd Watson

This book highlights companies that chose greatness over growth. Instead of scaling quickly, they stayed small on purpose. Their focus? Excellence, strong communities, and a healthy company culture.

Author Bo Burlingham calls them “small giants”—businesses that ignore the pressure to grow fast and, instead, build lasting legacies based on their values.

Key Takeaways:

 • Success doesn’t always mean scaling fast
 • Purpose-driven business models build lasting impact
 • Keeping control within the company can be a strategic advantage

2. EntreLeadership by Dave Ramsey

Best for: Entrepreneurs and small business owners looking for a practical, values-driven approach to leadership

“This is my business Bible, the source I go back to for guidance in so many areas of how to run a company. When anyone asks my how to build a company, I tell them to start here. I make it a practice to listen to it each year and my leadership team has all read it. I use many of the rhythms from this book and I can’t thank Dave enough for the encouragement and challenge this book has been to our business.” – Todd Watson

In EntreLeadership, Ramsey blends entrepreneurship and leadership into one clear, actionable guide. With personal stories and practical tools, this book empowers leaders to take ownership of their businesses—and themselves.

“If you're the problem, you're also the solution.”

Key Takeaways:

 • Strong leadership starts with self-awareness and growth
 • Business success is driven by intentional culture and clear systems
 • Leadership rhythms can build consistency and trust

3. The Advantage by Patrick Lencioni

Best for: Leaders focused on long-term success through team alignment and communication

“After EntreLeadership, “The Advantage” is next on my most influential books on how to operate a company. He cites “organizational health” as the key to success in a business and then works through the areas that create this health. Lencioni’s six critical questions are the foundation of how we structure our leadership and vision communication and what we come back to over and over in our team. It’s simplicity breathes life into what could be a stale process and is also a strong reminder in the importance of communicating things over and over again. This is the third book that I “re-read” this past year but just like good communication, it takes multiple times to really sink in.” – Todd Watson

Lencioni outlines six critical questions every organization must answer to build trust, clarity, and alignment. Simple in concept but powerful in practice, this book offers a framework that transforms how leaders communicate vision, strategy, and values.

“The single greatest advantage any company can achieve is organizational health.”

Key Takeaways:

 • Alignment at the leadership level impacts every layer of the business
 • Clear, consistent communication is vital to culture and execution
 • Repetition is key: say the important things over and over again

4. The Power of Moments by Chip & Dan Heath

Best for: Anyone looking to create memorable, meaningful experiences for customers and teams

While not a traditional business operations book, The Power of Moments explores how to intentionally create standout moments in life and work. It’s a reminder that success is often built in small, powerful experiences that leave a lasting impression.

Key Takeaways:

 • Moments matter—especially in leadership, culture, and customer service
 • You can engineer moments that inspire, connect, and elevate
 • Great companies don’t just provide products—they create experiences

Final Thoughts: Start With One, Build From There

If you’re looking to grow as a leader, build a healthier company, or inspire your team, these books are a powerful place to start. Each one has played a meaningful role in shaping how Todd leads—and how our company shows up for our clients and community every day.

You know that feeling when you discover the perfect song that matches your mood, a show so good you cancel plans, or a book that lingers in your thoughts long after the last page? We live for that.
